The lifeless body of a woman said to a school headmistress was discovered lying in a bed inside a hotel room in Eldoret town.
It is suspected the woman was killed by a lover or people known to her who later varnished in the fall of darkness. The naked body was found by one of the attendants on Thursday at around 11am. It had strangulation marks on the neck.
The deceased is reported to have booked the guest room before checking in with a male companion on Wednesday night.
The police are yet to unravel how and when the man escaped from the room after strangling her.
Wrapped in a bed sheet, officers from local police station filed the scene and transferred the woman’s body to morgue for preservation and autopsy.
Police have since nabbed two suspects in links with the murder incident, and they are helping police with investigations.
