It’s now seven years since the slain Kalenjin secular artist Diana Chelele left her beautiful twin daughters. In a latest interview, the two girls known as Tasha and Sasha have revealed the problems they have faced since the death of their mother.
Kalenjin vlogger, VJ Mastermind visited their home in Mugango in Bomet County where we learned about their issues.
A sister to Chelele revealed that the kids are disciplined and their grandmother who is taking care of them has not undergone any challenges regarding behavior.
But she revealed that their main problem is food, and finances especially school fees. She said the two girls moved from private school to a public school in Bomet due to challenges.
Chelele’s sister revealed that they had to change names of the two children to Shanice and Shantel because the grandmother didn’t like the other names as they reminded her about Chelele.
During the interview, the grandmother said she is strict about studies and all she wants is the kids to work hard.
The two sisters also talked to the vlogger. They opened up about their academic journey and displayed they were bright with different but big dreams. For example, Tasha who recently scored 308 marks and became number two in class wants to join Mary Hill’s Girls High School in Nairobi and later join a university abroad.
She wants to become a neurosurgeon in future. Her sister Sasha, who was number three in class and had 277 marks wants to become an actress.
The family says they appeal for help from well-wishers to get books, finances and any other support to allow the kids to study and fulfil their dreams.
