After being alerted to the situation by minority members of Parliament, he made this choice on Thursday night.

“SPEAKER Wetangula orders IG Koome to restore security for 22 Azimio MPs and urges them to dial back “toxic” politics,” according to the statement.breaking news on Capital FM.

After they took part in what the Inspector General of Police described as unlawful protests on Tuesday, the state withdrew security for these MPs.

The Inspector General has now been ordered by the Speaker to restore their security, nevertheless.

Despite this decision, the Speaker has also urged the lawmakers belonging to the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance to tone down their politics and refrain from acting in a “toxic” manner.

It’s unclear how the return of security for these 22 Azimio MPs will impact the nation’s political landscape. However, in these highly charged political times, the Speaker’s call for non-violent politics serves as a timely reminder of the significance of responsible leadership.

At the same time, Azimio MPs staged a walkout after Speaker Wetangula rejected their attempt to replace Sabina Chege. He declared that in order for a change to take place, they must provide the name of the person who will replace her, but Azimio wanted to remove her without providing the name of her replacement.
