Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is in the eye of another storm for saying it is the turn of people of Mt Kenya to enjoy themselves. Gachagua has said the people of Mt Kenya voted for Ruto in large numbers and they must reap big. This is not the first time Rigathi is saying these controversial remarks.
Rigathi has asked the people of Mt Kenya to remain behind President Ruto to continue enjoying the fruits of their labour. He has said there is no way Ruto can run away with development projects and they are the people who did the donkey’s work.
“There are people who might not like this statement but I will say it again. The people of Mt Kenya fought hard for Ruto to get presidency and it is our time to harvest. President Ruto will bring a number of development projects to our people as a way of saying thank you for voting him in,” Gachagua has said.
The careless remarks from Gachagua have always angered the opposition with them saying development should go to all places irrespective of how they vote. These remarks have made Kenyans to see Rigathi has a tribal leader.
