Popular Kikuyu disc jockey Deejay Tripple’s health condition has deteriorated, Githima TV presenter Betty Wa Macharia has reported.
Betty, who is also a gospel artist and preacher, made the report after visiting the ailing DJ on Monday.
She said her colleague at Githima TV, who is battling with kidney failure, could not walk on his own and was being taken to hospital three times a week to undergo dialysis.
Betty said Deejay Tripple was appealing for financial help from Kenyans noting his kidney treatment has left his family broke to an extent he was lacking basic needs such as food.
“Hello My People…Went to Visit Deejay Tripple today and He is not doing so well. Currently Going for 3 Dialysis Per Week. Kindly Let’s Continue Praying for Him. For any Support Reach Him Via 0712383479,” she posted on Facebook.
“He is not able to work due to His Condition. He needs to buy Medicine and Foodstuff. Kindly Help If You Can,” the presenter added.
In May 2022, the award winning gospel spin master was admitted at Kenyatta National Hospital and renowned musician and social media influencer Karangu Muraya helped raise Sh320,000 for his treatment.
A lady who identified herself as Winnie offered him a kidney saying she learned about the young DJ’s situation through Karangu’s post and sympathised with him.
At the beginning of this year Deejay Tripple was optimistic of overcoming his condition fully after being discharged from hospital.
“2022 has been my toughest year this was me not even able to stand by myself but God gave me a second chance I might not be fully healed still on dialysis but I’m greatful I’m alive. I pray 2023 will bring healing. Thank you all for your support, Happy New Year to all of you,” he posted on Facebook.
