DP Rigathi Gachagua has been nicknamed Riggy G by Kenyans. During the music festival finals in Kisumu he warmly accepted the name that has become more popular in the country saying it is not a bad name.
He also promised to look for the girl, Ivy Chelimo who came up with the name and saw it cool to call him Riggy G so that he can reward her.
Ruto’s close ally Aaron Cheruiyot has also come out saying that hustlers have accepted Riggy G and they are proud of him. The senator also said that the letter G does not stand for Gachagua but it is a slang letter meaning a cool guy.
“We are proud of you Riggy G. Many are confusing the latter G for Gachagua but no, a G means a cool guy in common slang. So the hustlers are saying they are okay with our guy the way he is,” he said.
