A family in Ebuyangu area, Emuhaya Sub-County, Vihiga County, is appealing to the government to help find their relative, police officer Manase Ndakala, who has been missing under unclear circumstances.

Ndakala serves at Hobuyaya Police Camp, and his disappearance has left his relatives deeply worried.

According to the family, the officer was last seen on Saturday, October 17, 2026, while spending time with his family.

Since that day, he has not returned home or communicated with anyone. His phone has been switched off, making it difficult for relatives to reach him or know his whereabouts.

Family members have reportedly searched for Ndakala in several places, including police stations, hospitals and mortuaries, hoping to find information that could help trace him.

Unfortunately, the searches have not produced any leads, leaving the family with more questions than answers.

Area Police Commander George Opere confirmed the incident, noting that investigations into the officer’s disappearance were ongoing.

As the search continues, the family has appealed to the government and security agencies to intensify efforts to locate Ndakala and establish what happened to him.

Relatives have also circulated posters on social media platforms to publicise his disappearance and reach people who might have useful information. They are urging anyone who may have seen him or knows his whereabouts to volunteer information to the relevant authorities.

Cases of missing police officers are not new in the country. Some officers disappear and are never found, while others are later discovered dead. This history has made the family even more fearful as days pass without news.

The family hopes that a speedy investigation will bring answers and reunite them with their loved one.
