Veteran broadcaster Fred Machoka and his wife Sophie are still inspiring many Kenyans after 45 years of marriage.
The 73-year-old journalist, popularly known as Uncle Fred, recently marked 50 years in broadcasting. The golden jubilee celebration was held on October 10, with family and fans in attendance.
At the event, his wife Sophie stole the spotlight. Many Kenyans were impressed by how young and beautiful she looked. She appeared graceful in a nice dress, white pearls and a bright smile that caught everyone’s attention.
The sweetest moment came when Sophie took the microphone on live TV to declare her love for her husband. She said Fred is her everything and thanked God for blessing her with such a good husband. She said she wonders what she did for God to give her a man like him.
Fred blushed and could not hide his joy as she spoke. He hugged her and told her he loves her too.
The couple has been married for 45 years and has four grown children. Their love story continues to touch many hearts across the country.
