Prophet Uebert Angel has recounted how Zimbabwean businessman Joacham Chivayo, popularly known as G6, invited him to collect a personalised gold gift after a church service, offering a glimpse into the close relationship between the preacher and the Chivayo family.

In a sermon that has resurfaced, Angel told his congregation that G6 contacted him after he made a passing remark during a service. The businessman reportedly asked the preacher to visit him, where he found a substantial quantity of gold bearing a personal inscription.

Angel said the gift was prepared in recognition of his identity and ministry, describing how he had to collect it in person.

“My brother G6 called me and said, ‘Prophet, you had a service where you mentioned something,’” Angel recalled while narrating the conversation.

He explained that G6 later instructed him to visit and collect the gift. According to the preacher, the gold carried the inscription, “It is I, Prophet Angel.”

Angel said the collection explained why he arrived late, adding that he had taken time to receive the gift.

The preacher also defended his decision to share the experience, arguing that acknowledging personal achievements and blessings should not automatically be interpreted as boasting.

“This is not boasting. There is a period when you should acknowledge things,” Angel said, adding that he recognised God as the source of his wealth and calling.

The account has drawn attention because of G6’s background and his long-standing association with his elder brother, the late businessman Wicknell Chivayo.

G6, whose real name is Joacham Chivayo, reportedly spent years seeking an opportunity to work alongside his brother before joining his team in 2012. He is said to have started with basic duties, including collecting dog food, before gradually becoming an important figure in Wicknell’s business circle.

His journey from performing routine errands to becoming a business partner illustrates how his position within the family’s commercial operations developed over time.

G6 has previously spoken about the lessons he learnt from his elder brother, describing Wicknell as an important mentor who taught him about business, ambition and resilience.

Among the lessons attributed to Wicknell was the importance of remaining grateful even after experiencing financial losses. G6 also developed connections with influential people, including Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

The Chivayo family’s relationship with Angel extended beyond ordinary religious ties. The preacher had previously described Wicknell as a brother and an uncle to his children, reflecting the closeness between the families.

Wicknell was also associated with lavish gifts to people in his social and religious circles. According to the original report, he gifted Angel a customised 2026 Rolls-Royce Ghost for his 47th birthday and reportedly provided other luxury vehicles for the preacher and his wife, Beverly.

The relationship has attracted renewed attention following reports of Wicknell’s death in a helicopter crash near Marondera, Zimbabwe, on September 30, 2026.

According to reports cited in the original account, Wicknell, his wife, Lucy Muteke, her personal aide and two pilots were among those killed in the incident. The reported deaths prompted widespread reactions in Zimbabwe and among people who had followed the businessman’s activities.

The tragedy also brought renewed attention to Angel’s previous public comments about Wicknell and the relationship between the two families. Reports indicated that the preacher had urged followers to pray for the businessman in the days before the reported crash.

In a Facebook tribute following the reported death, Angel remembered Wicknell as a person who understood that wealth should be measured not only by money but also by the lives one touches.

Angel’s son, Uebert Angel Jnr, popularly known as The Seer, was also reported to have visited G6 and members of the Chivayo family to offer condolences.

Meanwhile, G6 has publicly defended his late brother’s business dealings following scrutiny of his commercial activities. He has maintained that the businesses associated with the family were legitimate.

Angel’s account of the gold gift has therefore brought fresh attention to the personal relationships behind the Chivayo family’s public profile, particularly G6’s rise from humble beginnings within his brother’s operations and the close ties the family maintained with the preacher.

The resurfaced testimony offers a personal account of how G6 acknowledged Angel, while also highlighting the influence Wicknell reportedly had on his younger brother’s professional journey.
