farouk kibet

Farouk Kibet one of President William Ruto’s closest aides has once again attracted public attention after being spotted taking photographs of the Head of State, prompting Kenyans to question the nature of his duties within the administration.

Farouk is widely known for his close relationship with Ruto and his influence within the President’s inner circle.

However, his latest appearance carrying out what appeared to be photography duties has raised fresh questions about the different responsibilities he performs around the Head of State.

The presidential aide has maintained a strong presence at major political gatherings and public events attended by Ruto.

His frequent appearances alongside the President have made him a familiar face in Kenya’s political circles, despite not holding an elected position or serving as a Cabinet Secretary.

Farouk has long served as Ruto’s personal assistant and trusted political ally.Their relationship dates back several years before Ruto became President in 2022.

Over time,Farouk has become known for his access to the Head of State and his involvement in political activities supporting the President.

His influence has also attracted public debate, with various political figures questioning the extent of his responsibilities in government.

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua previously made claims about Kibet’s influence within State House, bringing further attention to his position in the administration.

Those claims have contributed to the wider public discussion surrounding the role of powerful presidential aides.

He has also been active in political mobilisation, attending meetings and rallies where he has defended the President’s leadership and encouraged support for the Kenya Kwanza administration.

The latest incident has added another dimension to the discussion about his work with Kenyans seeking to understand why a senior presidential aide was taking photographs of the President rather than leaving the task to professional photographers.

However, the act of taking photographs does not, by itself, establish that Farouk has taken on an official photography role or that his other responsibilities have changed.

His position remains a subject of public interest because of his close access to Ruto and his continued presence at important presidential engagements.
