On the night of October 9, 2026, Sky, the daughter of the late gospel singer Betty Bayo, gave her TikTok followers a warm glimpse into her home life.

She shared a vlog of a late evening walk around their neighbourhood with her younger brother Danny and their stepfather, Hiram Gitau, popularly known as Tash.

The video was filmed in a relaxed selfie style, moving between the open night air and a cosy bedroom lit by colourful lights. One of the funniest moments showed Sky trying to pull Tash away from the kitchen, telling him not to be lazy. The trio eventually left just after 7 pm, planning to be back by 9 pm.

Throughout the clip, the children laughed freely and spoke openly, showing a household that has slowly found its footing after grief.

Sky also spoke about her natural hair journey, explaining that she chose to let her hair grow after years of dyeing, bleaching and straightening had damaged it. She teased family members about the lights in her room, which her stepfather had helped to set up.

The video appeared at a sensitive moment. The children’s biological father, Pastor Victor Kanyari, recently claimed he had stopped paying school fees for Sky and Danny, a statement that angered many followers of the family.

Fans filled the comment section with praise for Tash. Many said he had kept his promise to Betty and held the family together. Others noted that the children seemed happy and could even speak about their late mother with laughter, a sign that healing was taking shape.

This is not the first time Sky has stood up for her stepfather. In an earlier TikTok live session, she rejected accusations of financial mismanagement, clarifying that her influencer earnings go straight into her own bank account.

She also criticised those spreading unverified rumours, saying such drama causes more emotional harm than help.
