Christopher David Mwaura is a Kikuyu benga musician who made money after composing a song about former Kenyan President Jomo Kenyatta. His song became an important part of his music career and enabled him to earn money through his musical activities.
Mwaura earned the money through live performances and the sale of CDs. These activities provided him with income as he continued his music career.
However, Mwaura later went broke after spending most of the money he had made from his music on cars. He used a large portion of his earnings to buy vehicles instead of keeping the money.
The cars became the main way he spent the money he had earned from his music. After using most of his money on cars, Mwaura eventually went broke.
After he went broke, Mwaura sold the cars he had bought using his music earnings. His story therefore shows how the money he made through his song about President Kenyatta was eventually spent mostly on cars before he ran out of money.
