A mother of two in Lavington, Nairobi, has spoken out about being forced to run every morning just six weeks after a major C-section surgery, while her husband trailed behind her in his car.
The woman, whose stitches were still healing, was ordered to exercise by her husband, Ryan. Despite medical warnings to rest for eight weeks, Ryan followed her along their residential street in his BMW, honking the horn continuously whenever she slowed down from the pain.
Neighbours in the area watched in disbelief as the woman struggled through the morning heat, tears streaming down her face. “My stitches were burning, and I was completely terrified,” she shared, recalling the agony of those daily runs.
The nightmare finally ended on Friday when Ryan’s own mother, Diane, stepped in after receiving a video of the abuse recorded by the couple’s teenage daughter. Diane confronted her son directly on the tarmac, forcing him to his knees before taking her daughter-in-law and the children to safety.
