Popular Kenyan digital creator and actress Foi Wambui has addressed pregnancy speculation that recently spread online after she shared a video on social media.
The rumours emerged after Foi posted an Instagram video highlighting how she and her husband, Davis Githinji, managed to hold their traditional and white wedding ceremonies within a span of just three weeks.
In the video, the actress looked elegant in a fitted bodysuit, but some social media users focused on her stomach, which appeared slightly pronounced. A section of her followers subsequently speculated that she could be expecting her first child.
The pregnancy claims quickly attracted attention, prompting Foi to respond through her Instagram Stories.
In her first post, the actress shared a video featuring another woman expressing surprise after people assumed she was pregnant despite not expecting a baby.
Foi then directly addressed the speculation in a second post, explaining that the appearance of her stomach was not an indication of pregnancy.
According to the actress, she had simply gained some weight recently, with food during her honeymoon also contributing to the change in her appearance.
Foi appeared amused by the speculation but also urged social media users to stop making assumptions about women’s bodies.
She further clarified that although she is not currently pregnant, she hopes to receive the blessing of motherhood when the time is right.
The actress said she would be grateful to become pregnant according to God’s timing.
Her response has since drawn attention online, particularly because the speculation followed a lighthearted social media post rather than any announcement from the couple.
Foi and Githinji have continued to attract public interest since their wedding, with fans closely following their journey as newlyweds.
