Popular Kenyan content creator and YouTuber Oga Obinna has come out swinging against individuals circulating false narratives that attempt to link him to the death of Gengetone/Arbantone rapper Stoopid Boy (real name Edgar).
In a strongly worded Instagram message posted Friday, August 28, 2026, the Obinna Live host declared “I coming for you” to those peddling fake news and baseless claims connecting him to the tragedy. Stoopid Boy, known for the hit “G Bag Na Jug,” died on August 27, 2026, in Gotta City, with reports pointing to suicide amid long-standing struggles with alcohol, depression, and personal challenges.
Obinna, who previously helped the late artist enter rehabilitation in 2025, rejected any suggestion of responsibility or wrongdoing on his part. He reminded followers of his past efforts to support Stoopid Boy while condemning online bullying, exploitation for content, and the failure of society to offer real help when the rapper needed it most.
“Yes, we can blame alcohol, we can blame depression, but every Kenyan who knew of him had a role in his demise,” Obinna wrote. He accused people of mocking the artist in comment sections, using him for clout through interviews, and watching without intervening. “With your matusi… YOU PLAYED A ROLE. You watched and didn’t do SHIT!!”
The entertainer extended his criticism to systemic issues, noting the lack of jobs, mentorship, and industry structures that leave young artists vulnerable. He challenged mourners posting long captions to reflect on their own actions while Stoopid Boy was alive.
