Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga has led an ODM delegation in opening new party offices in Kilgoris Town, Narok County, as the party continues efforts to strengthen its presence in the Maa region.Wanga was accompanied by journalist Stephen Letoo during the activities on Friday, August 28, 2026.

The governor said the event brought together ODM branch officials, delegates, party members and supporters from Kilgoris Constituency and surrounding areas.

The programme included the official inauguration of the new offices, followed by a consultative meeting with party delegates, a public rally in Kilgoris Town.

Wanga described Kilgoris Constituency and the wider Maa region as a stronghold of ODM, signalling the party’s continued interest in maintaining and expanding its support base in the area.

She said the new offices would provide a platform for party officials and members to coordinate activities and engage with residents more closely.

During the engagement, Wanga emphasised the values of inclusivity, equity and social justice, which she said remain central to party’s political agenda.

According to the governor, strengthening these principles could help, Maa community gain greater political influence and use that influence to address socioeconomic challenges affecting residents.

The public rally provided an opportunity for ODM supporters to interact with party leaders and discuss issues affecting the region.Wanga’s visit comes as political parties continue to organise and consolidate their grassroots structures ahead of the 2027 General Election.

The opening of the offices is expected to enhance ODM’s coordination in Kilgoris while giving party members a permanent point of engagement.

The governor also used the occasion to reaffirm the party’s commitment to working with communities, prompt broader participation in political processes
