KUUCPS

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Placement Service (KUCCPS) has updated students still awaiting transfer letters after applying to switch university or college placements. The placement agency confirmed that processing remains underway and assured affected applicants that the portal will generate their transfer letters automatically once complete.
“The processing of the transfer letters is ongoing. The letter will be generated automatically for download by the applicant through the student portal as soon as it is ready,” KUCCPS stated.

KUCCPS advised students to monitor their portals regularly to verify the status of their requests. Once available, applicants can download their letters directly from the portal and prepare to report to their new institutions.

The update addresses growing anxiety over delays, particularly as universities prepare to admit new students within days. The concerns mounted following the lapse of the August 14 deadline for inter-university transfer applications.

KUCCPS previously opened the application window to give students who were dissatisfied with their initial placement a chance to switch to preferred institutions. With reporting dates fast approaching, students sought urgent clarity from the placement body.

For example, students placed at the University of Nairobi (UoN) must report starting August 24, according to official university notices. Several other tertiary institutions plan to admit students in late August and early September in line with the Ministry of Education calendar.
