Former Head of Radio at Standard Group,Tom Japanni, is currently indeed among the happiest people in the world.
This is because he has finally landed a new job in the media industry after being away from it for about two years, since he left Standard Group in 2024 after working there for 11 years.
Tom Japanni has actually been appointed as the Head of Broadcast Operations at Trans World Radio Kenya, which is a Christian media organization that is dedicated to spreading the gospel of Christ.
The big news of Tom Japanni landing the job was actually disclosed by Titi Nagwalla, who is a presenter at Radio Maisha, which is one of the stations that Tom used to be in charge of.
Taking to his Facebook account, Titi Nagwalla penned a heartwarming message in which he sweetly congratulated Tom Japanni for landing the job.
He also heaped praises upon him for the good job that he had done over the years, during the stint that he used to serve as his boss.
Titi Nagwalla also used the opportunity to wish Tom Japanni the very best in this new role.
“Congratulations to my former boss, mentor and brother Tom Japanni (TJ) on his new appointment to head Broadcast Operations at Trans World Radio Kenya.
I had the privilege of working under TJ at Standard Group, and one of the thing about him, he understands radio…the people, the product and the business.
From setting up and shaping stations such as Radio Maisha, Spice FM, Vybez Radio and Berur FM, to mentoring many of us along the way, his fingerprints on Kenyan broadcasting speak for themselves.
A new chapter, a new assignment.
Hongera sana, TJ. Wishing you every success in the new role 👏🏾” he said.
