Kenyan singer Nadia Mukami has opened up about life after her breakup with fellow musician Arrow Bwoy, saying she is still healing but has not lost faith in finding love again.
The award-winning artist said the experience changed her outlook on relationships, but it also taught her valuable lessons about the kind of partner she hopes to have in the future.
Speaking during an interview on Thursday, July 16, Nadia explained that her biggest focus now is raising her children while continuing to grow her music career and businesses.
She admitted that balancing all these responsibilities has not been easy, especially while caring for her youngest child.
According to Nadia, there is little room to stop working despite the emotional pain she has experienced.
She said she continues to perform, attend meetings, record music and manage her businesses because her family depends on her.
The singer revealed that sleepless nights have become normal as she cares for her breastfeeding child before heading out for a busy day that includes taking her son to school, working out, attending meetings and spending time in the studio.
Although the breakup remains painful, Nadia said it has not made her give up on love.
Instead, she believes the experience helped her understand the qualities that matter most in a future relationship.
She said she would prefer a partner who already has children because such a person would better understand the responsibilities that come with parenthood.
Nadia also said she would like someone older than her, financially stable and committed to supporting their own children.
She added that she hopes any future partner has a healthy co-parenting relationship with an ex, without unnecessary conflict or drama.
The musician recently described the end of her relationship with Arrow Bwoy as one of the most difficult moments in her life, saying she had invested deeply in building a family.
Since then, she has shifted her attention to raising her children while expanding her career and business ventures with the aim of securing their future.
Her latest remarks come shortly after Arrow Bwoy said he still believes there is hope because of the family they share, even as they continue co-parenting their children.
For many parents balancing work, family and personal challenges, Nadia’s story reflects the reality of moving forward while carrying emotional pain.
Her comments also highlight the growing conversation around healing, responsible co-parenting and rebuilding life after a difficult breakup.
