Kenya Medical Training College CEO Dr. Kelly Oluoch has issued a statement following the mysterious death of a female student at the institution’s Nairobi campus hostel.

The deceased, identified as Anne Odhiambo Adhiambo, was pursuing a higher diploma in clinical medicine at the Nairobi campus. According to the statement released by the college, she was found dead inside the campus hostel on the night of July 7, 2026.

Reports indicate that before her death, Anne had allegedly been involved in an altercation with an unidentified persons over clothes. Hours later, her lifeless body was discovered in her hostel room under unclear circumstances.

Police officers were immediately alerted, and her body was taken to the Nairobi City Mortuary for examination. Preliminary investigations reportedly revealed that she had sustained head injuries and scratches on her back and was bleeding from the mouth, raising suspicions that she may have been assaulted.

A postmortem examination later established that Anne died as a result of suffocation and multiple internal injuries, prompting detectives to intensify investigations into the incident.

In a statement signed by KMTC Chief Executive Officer Dr. Kelly Oluoch, the college confirmed the student’s death and said the matter had been reported to the relevant security agencies. The institution added that it is working closely with investigators to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The CEO also conveyed the college’s condolences to Anne’s family, fellow students, friends, and staff, assuring them of the institution’s support during this difficult period.
