President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has openly revealed how he got his son, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, involved in youth training right after school.

In a fresh address that’s now making rounds on NBS TV in Uganda, Museveni didn’t hold back the truth on how his son started his army career.

He said he pushed young Muhoozi to gather his friends and bring them for training once the boy completed his S6 studies.

Muhoozi also openly complied with his father’s request, thus setting up his entry into the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF).

This has now resolved a lot of questions about many who were trying to connect how Muhoozi joined the army and his fast rise in the military.

Currently, Muhoozi is no longer just the president’s son but a top general with real power and his own youth groups ready to follow his orders and commands.

Ugandans on X didn’t waste time. Some called it proof of dynasty building. Others asked straight questions about army structures and friends getting fast-tracked.

Comments poured in fast. A few laughed it off. Most sounded worried about what it means for the future of the country.

“This isn’t mentorship. It’s grooming for control, plain and simple. Museveni has run Uganda for decades. “Handing the next generation to his own son doesn’t build a stronger nation. It just keeps power in one family,” one X user stated.
