Rachel Otuoma has opened up about a terrifying road accident on the Nairobi Expressway, revealing how she narrowly escaped serious injuries after a speeding vehicle lost control and crashed into several cars.
The popular TikTok personality, who is the widow of late Kenyan footballer Ezekiel Otuoma, assured her followers that she is safe despite the frightening incident.
She also shared photos of her badly damaged Honda Vezel, leaving many of her fans shocked by the extent of the destruction.
Speaking during a TikTok live session, Rachel explained that she was driving on the Nairobi Expressway when she noticed a vehicle approaching at a very high speed.
According to her, the vehicle suddenly lost control and headed toward her lane.
She said she reacted quickly by steering toward the edge of the road in an attempt to avoid a direct collision.
Although the speeding vehicle scraped the side of her car, the impact behind her was much worse as several other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Rachel recalled that the accident scene was chaotic, with multiple cars sustaining heavy damage. She said some of the vehicles involved had their airbags deployed, adding that it was one of the worst road accidents she had ever witnessed since she started driving.
After the incident, Rachel shared images showing her wrecked Honda Vezel, which suffered significant damage on the passenger side.
Despite the condition of the vehicle, she expressed gratitude that she escaped with only minor injuries.
She revealed that she experienced slight chest pain and fatigue after the accident but did not suffer any life-threatening injuries.
Rachel said her car has since been taken to a garage for repairs, noting that replacing a vehicle is possible, but life is far more valuable.
