Hiram Gitau, popularly known as Tash, has once again become the center of online discussion after a video of him enjoying a simple meal surfaced on social media. The clip has attracted a lot of attention because it comes at a time when he is facing several accusations involving the children of gospel singer and businesswoman Betty Bayo.
The recent controversy began when Betty Bayo’s close friend, Shiro Stuart, publicly accused Tash of mistreating the children. She also claimed that he was benefiting financially from Sky, one of the children, who has built a following as a young influencer.
According to Shiro, Tash was allegedly controlling the child’s earnings and influencing what the children should say to the public.
The accusations quickly sparked debate online. However, Sky later came forward to defend Tash. In a public statement, she denied the claims that he was taking her money.
She also insisted that nobody was forcing her to speak on his behalf and that she was not being manipulated in any way.
The situation became even more intense when Pastor Victor Kanyari, Sky’s biological father, addressed the matter during a church service. Kanyari strongly criticized Tash and accused him of using his children for financial gain.
He also alleged that the children had stayed at home for weeks because their school fees had not been paid.
According to Kanyari, it took the intervention of Deputy President Kithure Kindiki to help clear the school fees balance and allow the children to continue with their education. His remarks added fuel to an already heated public discussion, with many people taking sides.
Despite the growing criticism and public attention, Tash has largely remained silent. Instead of responding directly to the allegations, he appears to be carrying on with his daily life.
A video shared by his friend, who uses the TikTok handle @Frankmash, showed Tash looking relaxed and happy. In the clip, he was seated outside what appeared to be a small roadside eatery, commonly known as a kibandaski.
Dressed in a black T-shirt and red shorts, he enjoyed a plate of well-prepared githeri while laughing and chatting with friends.
Many social media users viewed the video as a subtle response to the ongoing drama.
