Uasin Gishu Senator Jackson Mandago has launched a sharp attack on motorcycle companies, accusing them of working with thieves to deprive young people of their motorcycles.

Speaking in a video shared online, Mandago claimed that some motorcycle firms were collaborating with criminals involved in the theft of motorcycles owned by youths.

“Hizi kampuni za pikipiki ni wezi na wanashirikiana na wezi kuibia vijana pikipiki, tutapambana na nyinyi vilivyo,” Mandago said.

His remarks come amid concerns surrounding the welfare of young people who depend on motorcycles for their livelihoods. Motorcycles are a major source of income for many youths involved in the boda boda sector.

Mandago’s comments signaled his intention to confront the companies he accused, saying they would face a strong response over the issue.
