After veteran DJ Pinto Cahill publicly alleged that the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party had failed to pay him for services rendered at several of its events, Lang’ata MP and media personality Jalang’o has stepped forward to address the matter while seeking clarity on how the partnership began.
Speaking on the issue, Jalang’o expressed surprise at Pinto’s claims and questioned how the celebrated DJ ended up working with the party in the first place. According to Jalang’o, ODM events are typically coordinated through designated organizers and communication channels, making it important to understand who engaged the entertainer and under what terms the agreement was made.
The legislator noted that before any conclusions are drawn, all parties involved should establish the facts surrounding the alleged unpaid services. He emphasized the importance of proper documentation and communication when dealing with event bookings, especially for large political gatherings that involve multiple service providers.
At the same time, Jalang’o appeared willing to help find a solution to the dispute. He suggested that if Pinto Cahill can provide evidence of the work he performed and the agreement that was reached, efforts could be made to engage the relevant individuals within the party and facilitate a resolution. His remarks were seen as an attempt to calm tensions and ensure that the matter is handled fairly.
Pinto Cahill had earlier taken to social media to express frustration over what he described as outstanding payments for performances at several ODM functions. The claims quickly sparked reactions online, with supporters and industry stakeholders calling for accountability and transparency regarding payments to creatives and service providers.
As discussions continue, many observers hope the issue will be resolved amicably, highlighting the need for organizations, political parties, and event organizers to honor contractual obligations and maintain professional relationships with the artists and vendors who contribute to the success of their events.
