Goliath

Bradley Marongo, the 23-year-old internet sensation popularly known as the “Gen Z Goliath,” has opened up about his journey from hardship to fame and why he has no intention of rekindling a past relationship.

Standing at an impressive 8 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 123 kilograms, the Nakuru-born personality has become one of Kenya’s most recognizable figures, attracting brand endorsements and international opportunities. However, behind the growing fame is a story of struggle, resilience, and lessons learned from difficult experiences.

Speaking during an interview on the Netwalking Show hosted by Wilbroda, Marongo reflected on his life before the spotlight. He revealed that he previously worked as a bus conductor and often travelled between Nakuru and Nairobi because he had no place to stay in the capital.

Life Before Fame

Marongo also addressed questions about his personal life, confirming that he was previously married while living in his village. According to him, the relationship ended long before he became famous.

He explained that financial challenges played a major role in the breakup, saying his former partner left during a period when he was struggling to make ends meet.

“When girls do not see money, they cannot stay in a home,” he said.

The towering influencer noted that his former partner has since moved on and gotten married elsewhere. Although there have reportedly been efforts to reconnect now that he is successful, Marongo says he has no plans of revisiting the relationship.

Why He Won’t Go Back

Marongo said he views the separation as a significant lesson in loyalty and commitment. For him, being abandoned during difficult times is something he cannot easily overlook.

He questioned how he could trust someone who left because of financial hardship, arguing that the same situation could happen again if circumstances changed.

“I cannot accept that,” he stated.

The social media star added that his current focus is on building his career and securing his future rather than pursuing relationships.

“I want to concentrate on my career. Let us find money first; women do not run out,” he said.

Focused on Fatherhood

Despite his differences with his former partner, Marongo said he remains committed to supporting their four-year-old child.

He revealed that although he does not communicate directly with his ex, he ensures the child is taken care of through his mother. He also described his child as a blessing and joked that the youngster is already showing signs of inheriting his remarkable height.

Marongo emphasized that he will continue fulfilling his parental responsibilities regardless of the status of his relationship with the child’s mother.

Looking Ahead

As his profile continues to grow, Marongo says he is focused on expanding his brand beyond Kenya. He revealed ambitions to explore opportunities in international markets, including Ethiopia and Pakistan.

For now, the “Gen Z Goliath” says he is concentrating on his career, providing for his family, and building a future shaped by the lessons he learned during his journey from poverty to prominence.
