Size 8 has shared her views on the role of a wife in marriage, saying it goes far beyond handling household responsibilities.
In an Instagram post shared on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, the singer explained that marriage carries a deeper spiritual purpose that many people may overlook.
According to Size 8, the role of a wife should not be reduced to cooking, cleaning, or managing basic duties at home. Instead, she said a wife is meant to help her husband grow into the person God intended him to become.
“A wife is a helper to her husband, but not just to make sure he feeds and that he has clean clothes… NO!” she wrote.
She further explained that being a wife is a major spiritual calling that requires wisdom, faith, and understanding.
“The calling of God to be a wife is much greater than that. A wife is a helper, one who stands by her husband to help him become all that God has purposed for him. This is a huge calling from God,” she added.
Size 8 also noted that fulfilling such a responsibility cannot rely on human effort alone. She encouraged women to seek spiritual guidance in order to better understand and support their partners.
“No matter how wise you think you are, you cannot fulfil this God-given mandate alone!” she stated.
The gospel artiste went on to stress the importance of the Holy Spirit in guiding wives through marriage, saying spiritual direction helps women understand their husband’s purpose, strengths, weaknesses, and how best to support them.
“You must seek the help of the Holy Spirit, for only the Holy Spirit knows the mind of God concerning your husband’s destiny, his purpose, his strengths, his weakness and the best wisdom to use to handle him and stand by him as you help him fulfil purpose,” she wrote.
She concluded by saying that successful marriages require more than human wisdom, emphasising the need for spiritual understanding and guidance.
