Prominent Mt Kenya lawyer Ndegwa Njiru has expressed strong confidence in Rigathi Gachagua’s Democratic Citizens Party (DCP) , saying the party’s impressive performance in Emurua Dikirr shows that Ol Kalau will be an easy win.
In a post on his official X account (@NjiruAdv), the outspoken lawyer sarcastically congratulated DCP while declaring victory in the just-concluded Emurua Dikirr by-election.
“Congratulations DCP party, granted the fact that you took on Kasongo UDA party heads on, you certainly won the Emurua Dikirr By election. At this pace, Ol Kalau will be a walk in the park, itakua Kipindi cha lala salama,” Ndegwa Njiru posted.
Known as a diehard ally of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Ndegwa Njiru was reacting to DCP’s strong showing in Emurua Dikirr, where the party put up a fierce fight against the UDA candidate despite not winning the seat.
The lawyer believes the momentum gained in Emurua Dikirr is a clear sign that DCP is gaining ground and the upcoming Ol Kalau by-election in Nyandarua County will be straightforward for Gachagua’s camp.
Ndegwa Njiru urged supporters to remain focused, saying the people of Ol Kalau are ready to back leaders aligned with their interests.
As campaigns for Ol Kalau intensify, all eyes are on whether DCP can convert its Emurua Dikirr performance into a solid victory at home in Mt Kenya.
