Content creator and comedian Arap Uria has shared the heartbreaking news of the death of a man, he had been supporting to receive medical treatment.

In an update on his Facebook account on Monday, March 16, 2026, Arap Uria revealed that Robert Mutai Chelogoi passed away at Longisa Hospital after a prolonged battle with health challenges.

“Hello family, we are heavy-hearted in announcing to you the passing of Robert Mutai Chelogoi. Robert passed on yesterday at around 7 pm at Longisa Hospital,” he wrote.

He also thanked well-wishers who helped raise funds for Robert’s treatment. “Our prayers to the family and many thanks to you, our online Team Strong family for standing with him during his medication,” the comedian added.

Arap Uria had traveled to Robert’s home in Bomet East in February after being moved by his condition. He shared Robert’s contact and appealed for public support, describing the encounter as emotional.

“Guys, we are now live with Robert Mutai Chelogoi in Bomet East. It’s very serious, and tears rolled down my cheeks once I saw him. He’s kindly asking tumsaidie with anything you have,” he wrote on February 16, 2026.

Despite poor connectivity and logistical challenges, Arap Uria camped in Bomet, staying close to Robert and his family while providing frequent updates to netizens on social media.

Using his platform for philanthropy, he rallied online support to assist the ailing man with treatment and related medical needs.

Arap Uria also sought to bring Robert’s plight to the attention of President William Ruto, detailing the severity of the illness.

“Dear His Excellency, Mr President William Ruto, The person in the picture above is Robert Mutai from Bomet East, Kipreres Ward, in a village called Chelemei.

He is suffering from an unknown disease that started as a small pimple in his nose and has progressed into a severe condition, as shown in the picture above.

He shared that the disease began as a pimple but soon spread, disfiguring Robert’s face and taking his nose, eyes, upper jaw and other parts of the face,” he wrote, appealing for intervention.

Through his advocacy and dedication, Arap Uria demonstrated how content creators can use their influence to support vulnerable individuals, highlighting the power of social media in mobilizing assistance and raising awareness for urgent medical needs.

Despite the tragic outcome, his efforts brought attention to Robert’s condition and rallied the community around the family during a difficult time.
