Sonko and Daughter

The last several hours or so have indeed been special for former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko.

This is because he has officially turned 51-years-old; a milestone that confirmed that he had indeed opened a new chapter with regards to his life.

News of Mike Sonko turning a year older was actually disclosed by his family members, who took to their respective social media platforms and celebrated it in style.

They actually penned for him heartwarming messages in which they pampered him with love and praises.

The first one to do so was his long-term wife Primrose Mbuvi, and she also wished him the very best with regards to his future.

“Happy birthday to my amazing husband! 🌟 Wishing you a year filled with love, joy and blessings. May God’s divine protection be upon you always, and may your special day be as wonderful as you are 🥰🌹🥂 ❤️ @mikesonko” she said.

Mike Sonko’s first-born daughter Saumu Mbuvi also took to her instagram account and appreciated Mike Sonko for how he raised her well, despite things always not being easy between them.

She also wished him the very best with regards to his future.

“Today, I celebrate not just the day you were born, but the strength, resilience and quiet sacrifices that shaped my life in ways i am still discovering. Our journey as father and daughter has not always been simple. We have had our highs and lows, moments of misunderstanding and moments of deep connection. But growth has taught me that love is not the absence of conflict; it is the decision to remain, to forgive and to understand.

I know starting parenting early came with its challenges. You carried responsibilities before you had the luxury to fully understand yourself. And yet, you chose to sacrifice your comfort, your youth, so that I could have better opportunities, a better education and a stronger foundation. That is a love I will never take lightly…” she said in part.

Saumu Mbuvi added:

“You are my mentor. You are a living lesson in endurance. You are proof that provision is an act of love. I pray that very soon, inshaAllah, I will make you proud, not just with my success, but with my character, my grace and the values you planted in me. May Allah grant you long life, good health, and peace in your health.

Happiest birthday Papa. You will forever be my first love no matter the season ❤️”.
