Popular Kameme FM presenter Muthoni wa Kirumba, popularly known as Baby Top, has expressed excitement after content creator John Gikonyore was confirmed among the key public figures she will be travelling with to the UK for the upcoming Wendo Festival.
In a Facebook post shared on Thursday, January 29, 2026, Baby Top celebrated the announcement, noting that Gikonyore’s moment had finally arrived.
“Johnarto Gikonyore amefikiwo na safari ya WendoFestival sahii sahii kule UK! .. The Drunken Master,” she wrote, expressing her enthusiasm.
She also hinted at including her show’s co-host, Chef Gathemba, in future international events. “CHEF Gathemba, sasa wewe ndio tunangoja passport itoke,” she added.
The Wendo Festival is scheduled for Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the Bedford Blues Rugby Club in the UK, running from 12 noon to 11 pm, followed by an afterparty from 11 pm to 5 am.
According to a promotional poster shared by Baby Top, other headline performers include benga icon and one-man guitarist Waithaka wa Jane, DJ Dibul, and Baby Top herself.
The announcement comes months after Baby Top, alongside a troupe of popular Kikuyu artistes, travelled to the United States for the ‘Ngemi cia Ruraya’ festival.
During that event, Baby Top and celebrated Mugithi star Samidoh delivered a memorable showcase, blending talent, rhythm, and unfiltered energy that captivated the audience.
Serving as the main master of ceremonies, Baby Top was at the centre of the celebration, seamlessly combining witty commentary with engaging crowd interaction.
