Comedian Sammy Kioko has ended a long silence on social media with a prayer filled message that signals a fresh chapter after a tough 2025.
In his first post of 2026 Kioko shared a video of himself in prayer and urged followers to trust God to fight life’s battles. He said sitting in silence gives God space to work. The update also included a message about resilience with Kioko saying it is never too late to start again and that he is heading back to the city with wishes for a happy new year.
Kioko’s absence from online life began in December 2025 and came after a year of public struggle. Last year he faced financial strain that forced him to make hard choices to keep his family afloat. He sold his car to help fund his sister’s medical care and closed his clothing business amid cash flow problems. Well wishers helped raise funds for his sister’s treatment abroad.
The comedian also had a very public standoff with the Machakos County Government over payment for services he said were owed to him. In late 2025 he camped outside the governor’s office pressing for payment and decried years of delays in settling the debt. County officials later challenged his claims and demanded proof that he was a registered supplier.
