Rozy Amimo, widow to the late radio icon Festus Amimo, has disclosed to the public what her hubby promised her in the early days of their marriage, despite the fact that she settled in with him even before getting her Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results.
While talking to guests who had visited her at their home in Awasi, Kisumu County, to deliver their condolence, Rozy Amimo indicated that that she got married to Festus when she was still very young, and had just completed her secondary school education awaiting for her KCSE results.
However, she disclosed that even though she had not secured an employment, her hubby promised to take good care of her as the sole bread winner.
According to her, Festus guaranteed that she would never suffer and even requested her to sit down at home, because he would provide all that she wanted.
“I do not want you to suffer. Sit down, I’ll provide.” Rozy Amimo indicated while revealing the promise she got from Festus during the early days of their marriage.
Aside from that, Rozy Amimo also revealed that even though she contemplated on numerous occasions about starting up a business seeking to boost her hubby who was acting as the sole bread winner, Festus used to dismiss her plans, affirming that he was capable of fulfilling all her desires.
“Whenever I wanted to start up a business to keep my self busy, my husband would not agree. He would ask me, ‘What are you lacking? Am I not capable enough of taking good care of you?” She disclosed.
