In a recent statement, Siaya County Governor James Orengo denounced the pandemonium that has been observed across the nation as Kenyans continue to cast their ballots for their preferred candidates in the present by-election.
The governor of Siaya has said via his official X page that Kenya is not yet prepared to become a first-world nation, citing the continued disarray in the nation as evidence.
Orengo claims that Kenya has neither held free and fair elections or upheld the 2010 constitution. The outspoken ODM politician declared, “We cannot become a first world if, years after Constitution 2010, we cannot hold peaceful and fair elections.”
Robert Alai has responded to Governor James Orengo’s comments by accusing the governor of being a fraud who constantly fails to live up to his words.
Despite claiming to cherish democracy, the ODM politician has even accused the governor of deploying goons to expel his own deputy from the county headquarters. “The governor ejected his own deputy from the Siaya County headquarters by using goons,” he tweeted.
