USA-based Kamba tycoon Abedinecho Katue has finally spoken out after gospel singer Justina Syokau publicly pleaded with him to marry her — and his response has left fans talking.
In a pointed and somewhat humorous Facebook post shared on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, Katue made it clear that he is not ready to be dragged into emotional drama or “forced romance.”
Katue wrote that he will not entertain a relationship that could potentially bring him stress or leave him heartbroken.
His message, written partly in Swahili and emojis, hinted that he prefers peace over romance.
He asked why he should love someone only to end up stressed, heartbroken, and abandoned, and insisted he would not put himself through such emotional chaos.
His exact words read: “Unataka nikupende ndio unistress, unipatie heartbreak na uniache, ndio nikufe na stress peke yangu? NO way. Wacha pakae.”
Katue’s message landed just days after Syokau, known for her outspoken and dramatic public persona, declared on camera that she wanted to date him, even marry him.
Speaking during an interview with Nicholas Kioko, Syokau insisted both she and Katue are single, which she said makes them “perfect candidates to mingle.”
She also openly admired his wealth, joking about his dollars and praising him as a generous man who supports artists from Ukambani.
She pointed out that she is the only artist he hasn’t given money to, a detail fans found both hilarious.
The singer denied claims that she was chasing a U.S. visa. She said her admiration for Katue came from his character, lifestyle, and how he carries himself.
She even confessed her love for luxury, dollars, and New York, and hinted that she would love to see Katue when she travels abroad in December.
