Another huge win for Kenyan comedian, entertainer and content creator Oga Obinna, after the court ordered Massawe Japanni of radio jambo and Black Cinderella who is a famous socialite, to jointly pay Obinna Ksh.6 Million for defamation.
Obinna sued both of them, following an interview that Massawe Japanni did with Black Cinderella, at Radio Jambo, and Cinderella shared some sensitive allegations that were meant to turnish the name of Oga Obinna. Cinderella linked him to sexual harassment and other weird allegations that she couldn’t substantiate with evidence to prove that Obinna had done all those things.
The two now have two options either to pay Obinna the amount of money stated, or they can also appeal to the higher court, if they aren’t satisfied with the ruling. Defamation is a very sensitive crime in Kenya and it is not easy to get away with it.
