CPA Fredrick Odhiambo Oluoch passed away earlier this month after a brief illness at the age of 42.
His passing marked a significant loss for the Office of the Auditor-General and Kenya’s auditing fraternity.
The Late Oluoch had an outstanding academic and professional background.
He obtained a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Kisii University, followed by an MBA in Strategic Management from Mount Kenya University, which he attended from 2022 to 2024.Additionally, he holds an MBA from Warwick Business School and a Master’s in Public Policy and Management from the Kenya School of Government.
By the age of 32, he was appointed as the Director of Forensics at the Office of the Auditor-General and later advanced to the role of Deputy Auditor-General for Financial Audit Services in 2020.
In this position, he managed a team of over 1,200 auditors and advocated for reforms that improved transparency and expanded public spending audits across the country.
