Kenya is currently mourning the death of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, who passed away at the age of 80.
Leaders from both the government and the opposition have united in tribute, describing Raila as a symbol of resilience and a champion of democracy whose influence will endure for generations.
Raila had also a good relationship with Indian Prime Minister Modi who gave a last respect of ordering special Indian Air Force plane that flew Raila’s body from Kochi to Mumbai.
Raila’s remains were flown in an Antonov An-32, a twin-engine turboprop military transport aircraft operated by the Indian Air Force.
It’s designed for cargo and troop transport, with a range of about 2,500 km.
May his soul rest in internal peace . He was loved , he is loved and will always be loved by the people of Kenya , the continent of Africa and the world at large .
