A Nairobi woman, Maureen Njeri, has made an emotional plea for justice after surviving a brutal attack in her own home that left her unconscious for days. The incident has drawn widespread attention after Maureen shared her terrifying experience.

She recounted that after escorting a friend that night, she returned home and opened her door but the next thing she knew, she woke up in a pool of blood, her face swollen and body covered in bruises. Maureen believes she was drugged and beaten immediately after entering her house. “I think I was drugged because I can’t remember anything after opening the door,” she said.

Luckily, her child was not present during the attack, having been at her mother’s house. When Maureen regained consciousness and spoke to her neighbor, she learned that the neighbor had heard her shouting “Achana na mimi, utaniua!” during the night. The neighbor’s account stunned Maureen, especially since they had a minor dispute over the gate earlier that same day.

Although Maureen has reported the matter to the police, she is yet to receive a P3 form. Officers advised her to obtain it from a public hospital, and she has already gone for a medical check-up. The incident has sparked outrage on social media, with users expressing sympathy for Maureen and demanding swift justice while criticizing the neighbor’s silence during her cries for help.
