A tragic incident left three children orphaned following the death of their parents in a murder-suicide case.
Hannis Juma, a well-known bouncer and gym instructor, reportedly stabbed his wife, Winnie Akusuha, before taking his own life in Kibaita village, Nandi County.
The couple, originally residents of Kawangware in Nairobi, had been experiencing marital difficulties that forced Winnie to return to her parents’ rural home with their three children.
Family members revealed that the trouble escalated following a series of mysterious health issues affecting their eldest daughter, who began fainting repeatedly during the night.
Despite hospital visits, her condition showed no improvement, prompting Winnie to seek spiritual intervention as advised by her parents.
In a startling revelation, the local pastor confided to the couple that Juma had been involved in occult practices. The pastor disclosed that Juma had allegedly sacrificed his own brother and a workmate. Even more chilling was the claim that Juma had planned to sacrifice their daughter, which was believed to be the cause of her mysterious illness.
This shocking revelation reportedly shattered Winnie’s trust and deepened the rift in their marriage. The occult-related accusations and the fear for their children’s safety created an environment of fear and distrust.
