Bolo Bespoke from Homa Bay has poured out his frustrations online after being betrayed by a close cousin he supported for more than ten years.
In a long Facebook post, Bolo explained that he stood by this cousin during tough times, even back when he was pushing a mkokoteni to make ends meet. He revealed that he paid their rent, fed and clothed their children, and even supported the cousin’s husband who he described as lazy.
However, things changed when he stopped giving financial help. According to Bolo, the same cousin has now turned against him and started speaking ill of his family.
“Just because I stopped giving them money, they suddenly find the courage to talk nonsense? Clearly, being there for them was the biggest mistake I made,” Bolo wrote.
Despite the betrayal, he made it clear that he is moving forward, taking life one step at a time. He also added that he is not leaving his home until he changes it, saying it’s now time for a new beginning.
His story has left many people online talking, with some empathizing with his pain and others urging him to focus on his own growth and happiness instead of ungrateful relatives.
