The marital drama between Akorino gospel singer Karangu Muraya and his first wife, Triza Njeri, has once again spilled into the public eye after Triza revealed that she no longer loves her husband.
Triza’s bold statement comes days after Karangu leaked an audio recording in which he was heard gossiping about her with friends. In the viral clip, Karangu mocked Triza over her torn undergarments, a move that left her humiliated. In response, Triza clapped back online by flaunting dozens of newly purchased underwear, turning the insult into a mockery of her husband and his friends.
The fallout escalated, with TikToker Githaiga branding Karangu “Aunty Cecilia” for backbiting his wife, a nickname that quickly trended online. Karangu eventually issued a public apology, but Triza insists she never received it directly, claiming she only saw the post after a friend forwarded it to her.
During a TikTok live session, Triza told her followers that her feelings for Karangu are long gone.
Triza also dismissed the notion of being a “goat wife,” saying the title often comes with suffering. Instead, she expressed a desire to be treated “like a fine girl” and not subjected to what she described as marital oppression.
The couple, married for 13 years and blessed with three children, continues to air their grievances publicly, drawing mixed reactions from fans. Some sympathize with Triza’s stand for independence, while others criticize her for constantly mentioning Karangu, suggesting lingering feelings.
Meanwhile, Karangu’s second wife, Carol Kim, has remained tight-lipped about the feud despite being accused of disrespecting Triza.
