William Ruto, the president of His Excellency, has revealed that he will be visiting the United States for a significant engagement that has the potential to revolutionize Kenya’s music sector next month.
While presiding over the 97th Kenya Music Festival State Concert at the Nyeri State Lodge in Sagana, the Head of State made the announcement.
He disclosed that he will meet with the Recording Academy staff, which is in charge of organizing the Grammy Awards, while he is there. The establishment of contemporary music studios in Kenya will be the main topic of discussion, Ruto clarified.
He claims that the cutting-edge facilities will support the development of regional talent and provide young artists with an opportunity to compete globally.
He underlined that Kenya has enormous musical potential that has to be realized with appropriate funding and international recognition.
Additionally, the President affirmed that talks are in progress to bring the Grammy Awards to Kenya. Should this come to pass, Africa would host the esteemed event for the first time.
