Irene Wairimu has alleged that a long-standing dispute with a close relative is the reason her young son is serving a life sentence in prison. Speaking in an emotional interview, Wairimu said the family conflict escalated to the point where it influenced the legal case against her son, ultimately leading to what she describes as a grave miscarriage of justice.

According to her account, tensions within the family had been brewing for years, but matters took a dramatic turn when her son was implicated in a serious crime. She claims that crucial evidence and testimonies were manipulated or misrepresented, painting her son as guilty despite, in her view, the absence of credible proof.

Visibly distressed, Wairimu expressed frustration at what she perceives as a system that failed to protect an innocent youth from personal vendettas. She says her efforts to appeal the ruling have been hindered by both legal and financial challenges, and she fears her son may spend the rest of his life behind bars without ever getting a fair hearing.

Her story, captured in a video report shared by Jamba TV, has drawn mixed reactions online, with some sympathizing with her plight and others urging for independent verification of the claims.
