Comedian Flaqo and his aunt, Nyakwar Janeko, are in a public family dispute that has spilled over to social media.
The fallout began after Nyakwar claimed that the entertainer does not take good care of his mother, despite his success in the comedy industry.
The disagreement became public on Friday, August 15, when screenshots of a private WhatsApp conversation between Flaqo and his mother surfaced online.
In the messages, Flaqo asked his mother to speak to her sister and stop her from mentioning him on social media.
“Mummy, kindly talk to your sister to leave me alone. I support both you and daddy with every paycheck I get,” one message read.
Nyakwar had earlier accused her nephew of ignoring relatives and being unwilling to help them financially.
She also told her online followers that she was the one who usually takes her sister, Flaqo’s mother, on outings.
These remarks did not sit well with the comedian, who insisted that he had always fulfilled his responsibilities toward his parents and siblings.
In the leaked chats, Flaqo said he was no longer willing to entertain relatives who had not supported his family during tough times.
He also revealed that he had been bullied by some family members in the past but wanted to avoid arguments now.
“I will never argue with her, and I want peace,” he wrote, adding that he preferred to focus on his immediate family.
According to the screenshots, Flaqo made it clear he would ignore his aunt if she continued talking about him online.
Despite his warning, Nyakwar kept discussing the matter on TikTok, prompting Flaqo to block her on WhatsApp and share proof of the action on his Instagram page.
The comedian is known for his popular online skits and humorous characters, but this incident has drawn attention to the challenges public figures face when family matters become public.
Family disputes involving celebrities often attract wide attention, especially when they involve personal accusations.
This is not the first time Flaqo has been in the headlines for personal matters.
Recently, he revealed that he had taken back a Nissan Note he once gifted his ex-girlfriend, Keranta Chege, during their relationship.
He explained that the car was registered in his name and was meant as a convenience gift, not a permanent handover.
The ongoing tension between Flaqo and his aunt has sparked online debate about family loyalty, privacy, and the boundaries between personal life and public image.
