Webston Kimani, a content creator from Nairobi, has shared the story of how he fell in love with Dr. Zippy Okoth, a well-known lecturer.
Their love story started in a surprising way and shows that love can happen in unexpected moments.
Webston admired Dr. Zippy for a long time. He often saw her posts online but felt she was too successful for him to approach.
Dr. Zippy is not only a lecturer but also a published author and filmmaker, which made Webston think she was out of his league.
Webston first tried to reach out to Dr. Zippy by sending her a birthday message, but she did not reply. Months later, Dr. Zippy posted a video of herself riding a motorbike and joked about wanting to find a man who rides.
Webston saw this as his chance and made a fun post on social media, saying he was the “boyfriend with the motorbike” she was looking for.
His post became very popular, and soon Dr. Zippy sent him a message, suggesting they meet to “make the internet happy.”
They then had their first phone call, which lasted more than 40 minutes. They quickly realized they had a strong connection.
Their first date was memorable. They went to a place called Sironga, where they enjoyed their time together and got lost in the moment.
Since then, they have shared many happy photos and moments on social media, from showering in a river to having lunch in a cafe high above the ground.
Even though Dr. Zippy is 10 years older than Webston, they say the age difference does not matter. What keeps their relationship strong is respect and understanding.May be an image of 1 person
Webston says that successful women still want love just like anyone else, and that gave him the courage to reach out.
