It was a weekend of love, glamour, and high-profile celebration as Trans Nzoia Senator Allan Chesang officially got engaged to his longtime partner, Chanelle Kittony, on Saturday, July 12.

But while the internet was awash with congratulatory messages, all eyes turned to one person – Dem wa Facebook.

The popular content creator, whose real name is Millicent Ayuwa, had once made headlines after publicly crushing on the senator.

This led to speculation and social media jokes following Chesang’s engagement. Memes flew around, and netizens flooded the internet asking how Dem wa Facebook was coping.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, the comedienne has finally addressed the situation, setting the record straight. She clarified that her so-called “crush” on Chesang was purely for entertainment purposes and that there were no romantic feelings involved.

“Chesang is my boss and Chanelle is also my friend. That crush story was all for comedy,” she explained. “Congratulations to my boss. May God bless their marriage.”

The elegant engagement ceremony was held in Trans Nzoia and attended by political heavyweights and public figures. Chanelle, the granddaughter of veteran politician Zipporah Kittony, was showered with praise by both families.

Chesang’s father urged his son to cherish his wife, while Kittony described her granddaughter as “humble and respectful.”

Dem wa Facebook also reflected positively on the past date she had with Chesang, which included a spa treat and lunch, saying it was simply content and nothing more. Despite being teased online, she remains firm and unbothered.

As Kenyans continue to discuss the colorful event, many are applauding Dem wa Facebook for handling the moment with maturity and humor.
