More than five years after famous NTV news anchor Ben Kitili and his lovely wife Amina Mude did their wedding, some people out there are still not yet comfortable with their union.

They are infact still criticizing the voluptuous queen for how she chose to settle with someone who is of a different religion and a different culture too.

This is because Amina Mude is of Somali origin and a muslim, while Ben Kitili is of the Akamba origin and a Christian.

This was confirmed by Amina Mude recently, when she said that the trolls have been flooding the comment section of her TikTok account with negative messages.

Now this all started when someone sent the sassy queen a message that had been posted by one Facebook user, who brought to light how her marriage to the NTV journalist was still an issue, especially to her own people, the Somali.

The Facebook user who had the moniker of Madina Wa Chege, also added the marriage of Somali American politician Ilhan Omar, who has also been endlessly criticized by people from her community for marrying a white man.

Madina Wa Chege then said in a caption that the marriages of Amina Mude and Ben Kitili, and of Ilhan Omar and her husband still leaves the Somali people talking to date.

“If you want to awaken haemorrhoids of our somali people just mention these two marriages. A somali in rural habaswein will develop kormathe insulting Ilhan and Amina calling them all sorts of names for getting married to outsiders. People should learn to mind their own business” she wrote.

Well Amina Mude actually reposted the Facebook post on her Instagram stories, and then added a caption where she said that she had developed a thick skin. The insults that she gets therefore does not affect her at all.

“Someone sent me this post. It’s funny AF! BTW have you read my tiktok comment section? Lol. The trolls have nothing on me. 😆 #LaughingItOff” she wrote.

Even though these were just negative comments from strangers, it should be noted that there was a time when it was indeed big a problem for their relationship.

Ben Kitili being someone of a different religion from Amina Mude, it was difficult for her parents to approve their marriage.

Some people even doubted whether the union would survive the test of time.

Thankfully however, it did and the couple has been together for over 10 years now.

They are also living happily together as we speak, raising their two kids.
