A quiet stay at a hotel in Limuru Town, Kiambu, ended in tragedy after a 67-year-old man was found dead in his room under unclear circumstances.

Moses Njuguna was discovered lifeless in Room 209 at Sixty-Four Lounge and Restaurant on Wednesday morning.

His body was lying on its back, with blood oozing from his nostrils and a deep cut visible on his swollen right eyelid.

Preliminary findings indicate that Njuguna checked into the hotel on Friday, July 10, accompanied by his girlfriend. The two remained in the room until Wednesday, when his death was reported. Detectives suspect an altercation between the couple may have led to the fatal injuries.

Crime scene experts collected blood-stained duvets, pillows, and floor mats from the room as exhibits.

The body was later taken to the mortuary, where a post-mortem examination will be conducted to establish the exact cause of death.

Police have since arrested two suspects: the woman who was with Njuguna in the room and the hotel manager. Both are being held as investigations continue. Authorities say the arrests are part of efforts to piece together what transpired before the man’s death.
