A 24-year-old Kenyan man has been widely hailed for his extraordinary bravery after risking his life to protect dozens of children during a terrifying night-time attack at Faraja Children’s Home.
Anthony Omari sustained serious injuries while confronting six armed intruders who reportedly stormed the children’s facility as 37 orphans slept peacefully inside. Armed with nothing more than a hammer, Omari is said to have stood his ground and challenged the attackers, preventing them from reaching areas where the children were sleeping.
The incident occurred under the cover of darkness, transforming what had been a calm night into a scene of fear and chaos.
